VCR cycles is delighted to bring to the market this very nicely preserved 1990′s Ribble 54cm Reynolds 653 steel road bike. Typical 90′s fluorescent fade paint scheme that was the look to have back in the day! The paint is still bright and not sun faded. It’s got a few paint touch ins here n there but for 30 something years old it’s in very presentable and attention grabbing condition! A beautifully crafted frame from the Terry Dolan stable. Made with Reynolds 653 steel and Columbus dropouts. The bike is fitted with its original from new full Shimano 600 tri colour groupset to include. Biopace chainset with 52/42 rings and 170mm arms. Front & rear derailleurs. Aero pedals with original toe clips. Down tube indexed gear levers. Micro adjust non aero Seatpost. All the groupset is original and all components show very little wear. The handlebars are Cinelli Giro d’Italia 63-40 and the stem is a mint condition anodised black Cinelli 1A with a 100mm reach. The wheels are made up with Shimano 600 tri colour hubs laced 36/36 with double butted stainless Sapin spokes into grey anodised Mavic Open 4 CD rims. The saddle is a very good condition San Marco Rolls with a black leather top. The bike has just undergone a complete service to include. All bearings to headrace and bottom bracket stripped, cleaned and re-packed with fresh grease. Both Wheels trued & tensioned. New inner & outer Jagwire cables. New Michelin Dynamic classic amberwall tyres to keep the retro look. NOS retro black leatherette bar tape. The bike now rides faultless and will require no further work or parts for many many miles of trouble free cycling. The frame measures 54cm from the centre of the BB to the top of the seat tube. It’s 53cm from the centre of the seat tube to the centre of the headtube. A very nice handbuilt classic steel. Road bike in ready to ride condition thats value will only ever go up!
