The front chaining was replaced with a single 42T chainring (and guard) for a total of 10 gears, which I found more than sufficient for a hilly 9 mile commute inside London. The right SLR brake lever, caliper brakes, cassette and rear derailleur are from the original Shimano 105 series (for 10 speed systems).
