This MBK Equipe is a lovely road bike built in the late 1980s from Columbus Cromor tubing. There are a number of information words such as Tre Tubi, Inexternal Process and Megatube CrMo but all your basically need to know is its a lightweight chromoly steel tube that offers great ride quality. The frame has faux head lugs and is very neatly welded, has a lovely smooth fork crown. There are some very minor specs on rust on each tube, a little rust under the fork crown and the bottom of the headtube has some touch up paint, but it is really very clean overall. A couple of interesting features are the rear brake being routed in a groove under the top tube and the lovely oval fastback seat stays have. The clamp bolt positioned lower than on most frame incorporating a grey collar insert covering the inside of the seat tube. Presented in fantastic condition with a lovely Shimano 600 Tri Colour all the parts are working well and it rides very nicely. The drive train is in excellent shape with gears shifting smoothly and the braking performance of the 600 levers and calipers is very good. Finishing touches include some period grey splash tape, an Elite Ciussi Inox bottle cage and original crankset dust caps. With one owner from new this is a really lovely machine that deserves to be ridden and is a little more unusual than most of the other bikes you’ll see this side of the channel! Seat Tube (C to T). Top Tube (C to C). 5 7″ – 5 11″. Shimano 600 Tri Colour. 3ttt Grand Prix 40cm. Selle Italia Turbo Special.
