Vintage-ish (probably 1980s) Apollo Equipe, retrofitted three years ago with Shimano Ultegra/Shimano 105 parts. Nice steel frame, light for what it is. Pretty scruffy paintwork so it’s less likely to be stolen. Cassette, rear derailleur, rear wheel, handlebars, and brifters were retrofitted three years ago and are still in very good nick (the bike was barely ridden during the pandemic). Cassette and rear derailleur are Shimano Ultegra 6800 11-speed. Brifters are Shimano 105 11×3. Front wheel, saddle, brakes, chainring and pedals are all original (or at least from before I bought the bike). Brakes are fine but not’new bike’ crisp – might want new pads if you go downhill a lot. The chainring and left brifter are incompatible. The brifter is a 3-speed Shimano 105 but the front chainring is two-speed and the rings are too far apart for the brifter so in practice it’s always on the big ring. This is fine in London but might not be ideal if you want to take the bike around Scotland or something. Pretty scruffy paintwork so you’d need to break it down and repaint the frame if you want a fancy-looking bike. The chain rubs against the frame in 11th gear – not sure if this could be fixed by replacing the chainring or something. This item is in the category “Sporting Goods\Cycling\Bikes”.
