For sale are my Shimano Dura Ace WH-R9100 C24 carbon clincher road wheels. The wheels have had a fair amount of use but have never needed maintenance or truing. The hubs are running perfectly smooth with no play and there is no damage to carbon rim apart from a minor ding to the edge of the aluminium braking surface (see 8th photo). There are minor cosmetic scratches and minor lacquer peeling in some areas of the rims. Both wheels are true. However, the braking surface is very worn down, more on the rear than on the front. I used caliper rule pincer thickness measurement gauge to obtain the braking surface thickness, the front measured 1mm whereas the rear measured 0.7mm. There is still life left in the front rim. The rear rim is definitely heading towards the end of it’s life. I’ve tried to show this using the steel rule in the photos. 1389g for the pair, so superlight. 8, 9, 10 and 11-speed Shimano/SRAM compatible. No QRs are included.
