Van Nicholas Mistral titanium road bike 58 cm (M/L) for sale. Remained in storage until January 2018 when she was put to use intermittently on the turbo for the majority of the year, though to no avail. This is a beautiful bike that has never let me down, unlike others I could mention! It rides incredibly well – stiff enough to get the power down whilst remaining comfortable the magic of titanium! I did LEJOG on this bike (100+ miles a day over 10 days) alongside people riding supposedly superior carbon bikes and was the only one who didn’t have any problems. The groupset is predominantly Shimano 105, with a smattering of Ultegra e. Front derailleur where parts have been replaced over time. Front chainrings are 50/39/30, rear cassette is a 10 speed 11-28. This gives an excellent range of gearing, with the top gear being big enough not to spin out on steep downhills and the smallest gear enough to get you up the steepest of inclines. Wheels are Fulcrum Racing Quattro – a good, mid range wheel with a semi-deep section rim. I bought the CX version for the double seal in the hubs, though have only ever used on the road. Finishing kit is mostly the original Van Nicholas stuff e. Bars, stem, saddle with the odd replacement part e. The bike is in good condition, having been serviced regularly whilst ridden on the road, with all parts being replaced as needed due to wear and tear e. Chainrings, chain, cables etc. The bike has not been serviced in the last year whilst it has been used on the turbo, so is likely to need a service before being ridden on the road again e. I haven’t had cause to use the brakes in this time. Cyclops Jet Fluid Pro turbo trainer and riser block RRP c. Garmin Edge 25 GPS, with frame mounts RRP c.
