Road bike from the early 1990s. I contacted Casati to know more about this anniversary model and they told me that it is made of top of the line lightweight Columbus EL tubing. As I found some of these frames on google and they show a MAX tubing decal, it is also possible that it is Columbus MAX (this frame also has ovalized seat and down tube in the bottom bracket area). Eventually also some mixture between both types. You can google “Settantenario” and will find some original bikes like mine showing also the Columbus Max tubing. On my frame the dealer applied some of his branding decals and for this reason the Columbus decals and also the steer tube decals are missing. This frame has the number 174, there is a marking on the chromed plate on the top tube. The bike is is 2×8 speed. This bike has been used, but shows only minor signs of use. Definitely rather low milage. The optical condition is very good to excellent with only tiny paint imperfections. Please see pics and judge yourself. The general optical condition is in my opinion very nice. Painted by the legendary worker “Carlo Dossena”. The frame is made from Columbus MAX / EL tubing. The bike has been taken apart, cleaned and rebuilt. Everything works well, it shiftes and brakes well. The tires are new clincher (Conti Ultra Sport). The bike is generally very clean. Equipped with Shimano Dura Ace 7400 (2×8 speed) components. The components are all in excellent condition with minor signs of use. From Shimano Dura Ace are. Crankset, front and rear derailleur, STi, headset, bottom bracket, brake calipers, hubs + skewers and the seatpost. Components from other manufacturers are: Rims (clincher: Mavic Open Pro and Open 4CD); t. He saddle (Selle Italia Flite Titanium); the stem (3ttt) and the handlebar (3ttt Paris Roubaix). Frame size: according to my measuring: 51.5cm tall (center – center), 53cm (center – upper edge seatpost tube); 54cm long (center – center). As a description is always influenced by a personal opinion I made plenty of supersize pics that help you to judge the bike yourself. Please see my other auctions! If you have any other questions, please let me know! I pack well (usually packing a bicycle takes about 1,5 hours), but you never know what happens during transport. I will have to take off the 2 wheels and the pedals and will also have to put the saddle and the handlebar aside the frame tubes. In some cases I will also take off the fork for additional safety of the bike. All this will be done well wrapped. Please claculate with 1-2 hours for unwrapping and reassembling the bike and be aware that a small gearshift and brakes adjustment after reassembling the bike may be necessary. An average parcel, e.
