This is a Specialized Roubaix Elite road bike with full carbon fibre frame. 2017 model, brand new to present owner in November 2017. Handlebars are on a spring suspension mount to absorb road vibration and are supplied with three springs to adjust the spring rate – middle one fitted. The seat post features an energy absorbing flexible mount and the saddle fitted is an optional Specialized Avatar gel padded type for enhanced comfort on long rides. The gears are 22 speed Shimano 105 range with Praxis Works crank. The brakes are Spyre mechanical disc brakes with optional Shimano discs and pads. The tyres fitted are 28mm Continental Gator hardshell. The original supplied 26mm Specialized tyres will also be provided – these were changed after a puncture on the second ride! A set of Roadracer mk. 3 lightweight mudguards will be supplied. These are attached by Velcro pads and are very good for wet roads. These bikes were recalled in early 2019 to change a part in the steering column and this work has been done by the supplying Specialized dealer. A ring binder containing the user manual, technical and service information for all components of the bike will be provided. It really is just like new.
